What is a Schedule?
Here are a few examples of why you might want to use a schedule:
a reoccurring shift that happens on specific weekdays
set up a schedule that alternates reoccurring shift teams every other day
set up a schedule with day and night shifts
the variations are endless
A schedule consists of a series of recurring shifts that follow a specific pattern. When workers sign up for a schedule, they commit to attending all the shifts outlined in that plan.
For example, the schedule shown below follows a bi-weekly recurring pattern. Each shift includes 3 Forklift Operators and 8 Warehouse Associates. In Week A, the shifts occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while in Week B, they take place on Tuesday and Thursday. All shifts have a consistent start time of 9 AM and end time of 5 PM, and this 2-week pattern reoccurs over and over again.
Schedules provide businesses with a reliable, consistent workforce over an extended period, ensuring regular coverage and streamlined operations.
How do I create a Schedule?
When you go to the shift booking flow, you’ll be asked what type of shift you’d like to select. Select “Long term schedule with recurring pattern (weekly, bi-weekly)”
Name your schedule, fill in all the relevant details, including roles and assigned workers, then review and confirm everything. Once confirmed, your schedule will be created!
