Which ID document should I choose?
The ID document you choose depends your citizenship or immigration status. Start with documents in List A. If you don’t have any from List A, select documents from List B and C. Learn more here.
People typically select from List A:
U.S. Passport
Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
Employment Authorization Document (Form I-766) with a photo
People typically select from List B and C:
B: Driver’s license, State ID, School ID with a photo
C: Social Security card, Birth certificate, Employment Authorization Document (EAD)
I don’t know the document number.
The document number is typically found on the front of your ID or passport, often under a label like "Document Number", "Passport Number," or similar. If you have trouble finding it, take a closer look at your document or search for help online.
I don’t know the issuing authority.
The issuing authority is the government or organization that gave you your ID. For example:
Social Security Card: Social Security Agency (SSA)
Driver's license: Your state’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
Green Card or EAD: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
If you're not sure, check the small text on the document or search online for help.
I don’t know the expiration date.
The expiration date is typically printed on the front of your ID or passport. For example:
Passport: The expiration date is usually found on the page with your personal details.
Driver’s license: The expiration date is typically near your photo on the front of the card.
Green Card or EAD: The expiration date is typically near the bottom on the front of the card.
If you can’t find it, contact the document issuer or search online for help.
My ID document is expired.
Your ID document needs to be valid and up-to-date. If your ID has expired, you’ll need to renew it with the relevant authorities (like the DMV for a driver’s license or the passport office for a passport). If you can't upload a valid ID, you won't be verified for the job.
I only have a temporary ID document.
If you only have a temporary ID document, it may be acceptable depending on the type of document and the platform's requirements. However, some temporary IDs may not be eligible for verification. If you’re not sure, contact our support team to confirm.
