Running late happens. Here's exactly what to do:
Step 1: Contact Traba support immediately Open the Traba app → tap the chat icon → select your shift → let us know you're running late and your estimated arrival time.
Step 2: Contact the business if possible If you have contact information for the worksite supervisor, let them know directly. This gives the business time to plan and may increase the chance they can still accommodate you.
Step 3: Arrive as soon as possible Many businesses will accept workers who are slightly late (under 15 minutes). However, some have strict policies and may turn you away if you are late — this decision is made by the business, not Traba.
What happens if I'm turned away for being late?
If the business turns you away because you were late, you will not be compensated for the shift. This will not count as a no-show on your record, but it will affect your reliability score.
Will I get a no-show?
No — a no-show only applies if you don't show up at all and don't cancel. Arriving late (even if turned away) is recorded differently.
Tips to avoid being late:
Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early — shifts start on time.
Check traffic and transit routes the night before.
Make sure your Traba app is open and your GPS is on so you can clock in right when you arrive.
