What should I do if there's a problem at my shift?

If something goes wrong while you're on shift, here's how to handle it depending on the situation.

Unsafe working conditions

Your safety is the top priority. If you believe working conditions are genuinely unsafe:

  1. Remove yourself from the dangerous situation immediately

  2. Notify the on-site supervisor

  3. Report the incident in the Traba app as soon as possible

  4. Contact Traba Support

You will not be penalized for leaving a shift due to a genuine safety concern. See also: How to report an incident?

Conflict with a supervisor or colleague

Remain calm and professional. If a situation escalates and you feel uncomfortable:

  1. Step away from the situation

  2. Contact Traba Support through the app

  3. Document what happened as clearly as possible

Do not engage in arguments or confrontations on-site. Businesses can rate workers, and maintaining professionalism — even in difficult situations — protects your standing on the platform.

The business asks you to do something outside your role

You are only required to perform the tasks described in the shift listing. If a business asks you to perform significantly different or additional work, you can decline and should notify Traba Support so the shift details can be reviewed.

App or clock-in issues

If you're having trouble clocking in or out, see: The Traba app is asking me to clock out when I have left the shift location and How do I scan the QR code at the kiosk? Contact Support immediately if you cannot resolve it on-site — do not leave without clocking out.
