The app won't let me clock in — what do I do?

If you're having trouble clocking in at the start of your shift, try the following steps.

Step 1: Check your location settings

Traba requires access to your location to verify you're at the correct shift site. Make sure:

  • Location permissions for the Traba app are set to "Always" or "While Using"

  • Your phone's GPS is turned on

  • You are physically on-site at the correct address — the app verifies your location

Step 2: Check your internet connection

You need an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) to clock in. If your connection is weak, move to an area with better signal.

Step 3: Try the QR code kiosk

Many sites have a QR code kiosk for clock-in. See: How do I scan the QR code at the kiosk?

Step 4: Restart the app

Close the app fully and reopen it, then try again.

Step 5: Contact Support immediately

If none of the above works, contact Traba Support right away. Do not begin working without clocking in — unrecorded time cannot be paid. Let the on-site supervisor know you are experiencing a technical issue so they are aware.
