I'm having GPS or location issues with the app

Traba uses GPS to verify your location at shift start and end. If the app isn't recognizing that you're at the right location, try the following.

This ensures accurate payment processing, verifies your arrival at shifts, and helps businesses confirm your route status, especially if you are running late.

Check your location permissions

  • iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Traba → Set to "While Using the App" or "Always"

  • Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Traba → Permissions → Location → Set to "Allow all the time" or "Allow only while using the app"

  • iPhone: If you don’t see a location prompt, go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Traba → Offload App, then reinstall and open the app again. iOS should prompt for location access.

Enable Motion & Fitness Tracking

  • iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → Turn on Fitness Tracking and ensure Traba is enabled.

  • Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Traba → Permissions → Enable Physical Activity.

Toggle GPS off and on

Sometimes GPS needs to be reset. Turn your phone's location off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

Ensure your device is not in Low Power mode, as this can restrict background activity. Additionally, keep the Traba app running in the background to maintain uninterrupted GPS tracking.

The App Keeps Asking to Turn On Location Services

Confirm that both Location and Motion & Fitness settings are enabled. The app requires both permissions to function correctly.

Move outdoors or near a window

GPS accuracy drops significantly indoors or in basements. If possible, step outside or near a window to get a stronger signal.

Check for app updates

Make sure you're running the latest version of the Traba app. Outdated versions can have GPS bugs that have since been fixed.

Unable to Accept Shift Invites Due to Location Settings

Open the Traba app, go to your Profile, and tap Permissions. Enable Location and Tracking. Fully close and reopen the app to refresh the settings.

If you're on-site but the app still says you're in the wrong location

This can happen in large industrial facilities or complex building layouts. Contact Traba Support and notify the on-site supervisor — they can often confirm your presence manually. Do not leave the site or start work without resolving the clock-in issue.
