What is Instant Pay?

Instant Pay is a feature that allows Traba workers to be paid within a few short minutes of the end of a shift (in some cases may take up to 30 minutes). After enrolling for Instant Pay and adding an eligible payment method to your account, you will be ready to start collecting your earnings after successfully completing a shift.

How to become eligible for Instant Pay?

Instant Pay is available for any workers that successfully completes 3 perfect shifts in a row. Once you have completed these 3 shifts, your account becomes automatically eligible for instant pay from your 4th shift onwards. You do still have to enable it from within your profile for Instant Pay to be active.

Note that you may lose eligibility for Instant Pay if you no-show to a shift, cancel it last minute or abandon a shift before completion and other actions that negatively impact the businesses you sign up to work with.

How to enable Instant Pay?

In your Traba app, follow these steps to enable Instant Pay:

  1. Click your photo at the top left corner of the screen

  2. From the menu options that open up, click on 'Payments'

3. Click on 'Instant Pay'

4. Toggle on Instant Pay and you're good to go

Important things to note:

  • You will be deducted an amount equal to 50 cents or 1.5% of your pay, whichever is greater, in order to get Instant Pay

  • You will need a payment method that is eligible for Instant Pay. Most debit cards issued by your financial institution are eligible. You can also purchase a "green dot card" from a convenient store like 7-eleven and that will be eligible for Instant Pay as well. Certain bank accounts may be eligible as well - please check the entire list of options here

  • There are certain shifts on the Traba platform that do not pay out immediately after the shift ends. They require timesheet confirmations before pay is processed. These shifts are tagged with a note that say pay will be processed within 3-5 business days. Once timesheets are approved, the pay does get instantly processed, which otherwise could have taken an additional 2 business days to deposit into your account. • Your eligibility for instant pay may be affected if you 'no-show' or cancel a shift within 18 hours of its start time, or if you consistently arrive late to your shifts. While these occurrences do not automatically result in the loss of instant pay, they could impact your eligibility at any time.
