What is Quick Pay?

Quick Pay is a feature that allows Traba workers to be paid as quickly as 30 minutes after the completion of a shift. After enrolling for Quick Pay and adding an eligible payment method to your account, you will be ready to start collecting your earnings as soon as you clock out!

Payments processed before enabling Quick Pay will still follow the standard timeline of 2–3 business days.

How to Enable Quick Pay

To activate Quick Pay, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Traba app.

  2. Navigate to Profile → Payment → Quick Pay.

  3. Enable the Quick Pay option. Once enabled, future payments for eligible shifts will be processed through Quick Pay. Note that enabling Quick Pay after a payment has already been processed will not affect that payment; it will still follow the Standard Pay timeline.

Who is eligible for Quick Pay?

To use Quick Pay, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Your account must be in good standing and meet the platform's requirements for Quick Pay access.

  • You must use a bank or payment method that supports Quick Pay. If you switch to a new bank or card, it must also be Quick Pay–eligible to continue using the feature.

  • Maintaining eligibility requires avoiding actions such as no-shows, late cancellations, or shift abandonment.

How do I initially qualify for Quick Pay?

New workers must complete 3 perfect shifts in a row before Quick Pay becomes available on their account. A "perfect" shift means clocking in and out on time, taking required breaks, and avoiding no-shows, late cancellations, or early clock-outs. Once you've met this threshold and enabled Quick Pay, future eligible shifts will be paid out automatically.

My payment method is not eligible for Quick Pay. Can I change it?

At this time, Quick Pay only works using debit cards at participating banks. Credit cards, prepaid cards, and standard bank account transfers (ACH) are not supported. If your current payment method is not eligible, you can replace it by clicking on "Change Payment Method" inside the Quick Pay menu.

What happens to my Quick Pay if my debit card expires or is replaced?

If your card expires, is lost or stolen, or is otherwise replaced, Quick Pay payouts will fail until you update your payment method in the app. Any payment that failed due to an invalid card will need to be manually reprocessed — contact Traba support after updating your card to request that the payout be retried. Note that updating your card does not automatically retry a failed payment.

Once Quick Pay is enabled on my account, will I receive my earnings immediately after the completion of every shift?

Once Quick Pay is turned on, all future payments will be transferred to your debit card minutes after you clock out of your shift.

If a payout fails and funds are returned, the reprocessed payment will follow the Quick Pay timeline if the feature is enabled. Otherwise, it will follow the standard processing time.

Quick Pay may be disabled for an individual shift if:

  • Payments processed before enabling Quick Pay will follow the Standard Pay timeline.

  • Traba has disabled Quick Pay for this shift (e.g. a complex shift or a shift that requires verification with the business partner after the shift is completed — see below for more details).

  • The shift is less than 4 hours.

  • You did not log a required break for this shift, or your logged break length does not match what is expected for this shift.

  • You arrived late to the shift or you clocked out much later than the shift was expected to end.

  • The earnings received for this shift would cause you to earn more than $300 via Quick Pay in a single day.

If Quick Pay is disabled for one or more of these reasons, your payment for the shift will revert to the traditional 2-day bank transfer method.

How long does Quick Pay actually take? What if I haven't received my payment yet?

Quick Pay typically processes within 30 minutes to a few hours after you clock out, though most payouts arrive much faster. Processing times can vary depending on your bank and network conditions.

If you haven't received your payment after several hours:

  1. Confirm that your shift met all the Quick Pay conditions listed above.

  2. Verify that your debit card on file is valid and hasn't expired.

  3. If everything looks correct, reach out to Traba support through the app and we'll look into it for you.

What does it mean that Quick Pay was disabled because of a "complex shift"?

Some shifts require Traba to verify hours or other details with the business partner after the shift ends before payment can be released. In these cases, Quick Pay is temporarily disabled for that shift, and your payment will be processed via the standard 2-day timeline once the verification is complete. This is not something you can control — it's determined by the nature of the shift and the requirements of the business partner.

Can support manually reprocess a payment as Quick Pay?

In some cases, the support team may be able to manually trigger a Quick Pay payout. However, this is not guaranteed and depends on the current status of your payment. The best way to ensure Quick Pay applies to your earnings is to have it enabled before your shift ends and to ensure your payment method is valid and up to date.

Is there a cost for using Quick Pay?

Yes, using Quick Pay incurs a fee of 1.5% of the total transferred amount or $0.50, whichever is greater. This will automatically be deducted from your payout.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Why is my payment processed through Standard Pay instead of Quick Pay?

If your account is not eligible for Quick Pay, if the payment was processed before enabling Quick Pay, or if your shift did not meet the Quick Pay conditions (see above), it will follow the Standard Pay timeline.

Will enabling Quick Pay speed up a payment already processed?

No. Enabling Quick Pay after a payment has been processed will not change that payout. Quick Pay must be enabled before processing to affect the payment's speed.

My debit card was declined or my payout failed. What do I do?

Update your payment method by navigating to Profile → Payment → Quick Pay → Change Payment Method. Once your new card is saved, contact support to request that your failed payout be manually reprocessed.

I no longer want to use Quick Pay. Can I turn it off?

You can revert back to the traditional 2-day payment method at any time (even mid-shift) by navigating to your Payments page in your Profile and disabling Quick Pay.
