π Clock-In & Clock-Out
I can't clock in β the code isn't working / the kiosk is down. What do I do?
Contact Traba support through the app immediately. Our team can clock you in manually. Do not wait until after your shift β we need to do this while you are on site.
My supervisor isn't giving me a clock-in code. What should I do?
Contact support through the app right away and let us know. We'll assist you and make sure your start time is recorded correctly.
The app is asking me to clock out but I'm still on shift. What do I do?
This can happen if you step outside the GPS boundary of your worksite. Don't confirm the clock-out β contact support and we'll make sure your hours are recorded correctly.
I forgot to clock out. Will I still get paid?
Contact support as soon as you realise. We can manually record your clock-out time based on your shift end time or supervisor confirmation.
π° Pay & Payments
When will I get paid?
Standard Pay: 2β3 business days after your shift is processed. This is the default for all workers.
QuickPay: Same day your shift is processed. Available after your first 3 completed shifts, if your bank supports it.
Event shifts: 3β5 business days.
Weekly pay employers: Next weekly pay cycle β you'll be told this before working with them.
Weekends and bank holidays do not count as business days.
The app says my payment is "Deposited" but I don't see it in my bank. Why?
When Traba marks a payment as "Deposited," it means the funds have left our system. Your bank may still take 1β3 additional business days to make them available. This is a bank processing delay, not a Traba issue. If it's been more than 5 business days, contact support.
I think I'm missing pay from a shift. What should I do?
Open the app β tap the chat icon β select "Earnings or pay issues." Provide the shift date, company name, and the amount you believe is missing. Our payments team will investigate.
Why was my pay less than I expected?
Your pay may have been adjusted to match the hours recorded by the employer. This is called a time adjustment. If you believe it's incorrect, submit a Time Dispute ticket through the app as soon as possible with the correct times and any supporting information (e.g., a supervisor's name, a photo of the sign-in sheet).
How do I change my payment method?
Go to Profile β Payments β Payment Methods, tap "View Payments," verify your phone number, then update your details. Note: if a payment is already in progress when you make the change, it will still go to your old account. New payments will go to your updated account.
My QuickPay stopped working. Why?
QuickPay eligibility can be affected by no-shows, late cancellations, or consistently arriving late. It is not automatically removed but can be reviewed at any time.
π Shifts & Scheduling
How do I cancel a shift?
Cancel through the Traba app as early as possible. The impact on your account depends on how much notice you give:
Notice given | Impact |
18+ hours before shift | No impact |
12β18 hours before | Low penalty |
4β12 hours before | Medium penalty |
Under 4 hours before | High penalty |
No cancellation (no-show) | 7-day account suspension |
It is always better to cancel β even last minute β than to not show up at all.
I accidentally pressed "No" when confirming my shift. What do I do?
Contact support through the app immediately. In many cases we can reinstate you on the shift.
I accidentally accepted a shift I can't make. What do I do?
Cancel it in the app straight away. The sooner you cancel, the lower the penalty. Contact support to explain what happened and we'll review on a case-by-case basis.
What happens if I'm turned away when I arrive at my shift?
Contact Traba support through the app before leaving the worksite. If you arrived on time and were turned away, you are entitled to compensation of $20β$50. You must report it β it is not automatic. Note: if you were late, arrived in incorrect attire, or have been blocked by that business, you do not qualify for compensation.
I'm going to be late to my shift. What should I do?
Contact support through the app as soon as you know. We'll notify the employer on your behalf. Arriving late without notice risks being turned away with no pay and may affect your reliability score.
How does the waitlist work?
If a shift is full, you can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you'll be notified automatically. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a place.
Can I leave my shift early?
Only with supervisor approval. Contact support before leaving. Leaving early without notice affects your reliability score and may reduce your pay.
π€ Account & Profile
My application is still "In Review." How long does it take?
Background checks are processed by our partner Checkr and typically take 3β7 business days. Check your email (including spam) for updates from Checkr. You can also check your status at candidate.checkr.com.
My background check was rejected. What can I do?
You'll receive an email from Checkr with the reason. If you believe the information is incorrect, you have the right to dispute it directly through Checkr's platform. If your dispute is resolved and your report is updated, contact Traba support with documentation for review.
My account has been suspended. Why?
Common reasons include a no-show (7-day suspension), repeated late cancellations, or a business blocking you for performance or behaviour. Contact support through the app for more details on your specific situation.
How do I improve my reliability score?
Complete every shift you sign up for
Cancel shifts as early as possible when you can't attend
Arrive on time
Avoid no-shows
A higher reliability score gives you access to more shifts and better opportunities on the platform.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile β Settings and select "Delete Account." Note that deleting your account is permanent. Any pending payments will still be processed.
π§Ύ Taxes & Documents
Will I receive a 1099 form?
If you earned $600 or more in a calendar year through Traba as a 1099 worker, you will receive a 1099 form via Stripe. You can access it through your Stripe account at dashboard.stripe.com.
Does Traba deduct taxes from my pay?
No. As a 1099 (independent contractor) worker, taxes are not deducted from your earnings. You are responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes. W2 workers do have taxes withheld β check your pay statements for details.
How do I get proof of income / pay stubs?
Go to the Earnings tab in the Traba app to view your pay history. For a formal employment verification letter, contact support.
π Safety & Insurance
What should I do if I'm injured at work?
Report it to your onsite supervisor immediately and contact Traba support through the app. Traba workers are covered by Zurich insurance. See How to file a Zurich insurance claim.
How do I report a safety issue or incident at a worksite?
Report it through the Traba app as soon as possible. Go to the chat β select your shift β choose "Report an incident." See How to report an incident.
