Pricing & Fees

Q: How much does it cost to book workers? You pay two things: the hourly wage that goes directly to the worker, and a fixed markup fee that goes to Traba. There are no hidden fees. Workers are only paid for the hours they actually work.

Types of Work

Q: What kind of work can I use Traba for? Traba supports a wide range of general labor roles, including:

  • Warehouse, Fulfillment & Manufacturing – Picking and packing, line operators, production operators, loading/unloading, hauling, lumping, fulfillment, and more.

  • Events – Load-in/load-out, event setup and breakdown, stage and equipment setup, ticket handling, and more.

Need workers for something not listed? Reach out to us at [email protected].

Insurance & Worker Verification

Q: Are Traba workers insured? Yes. All 1099 workers are covered by Occupational Accident Insurance and liability insurance up to $1,000,000. All W2 workers are eligible for workers' compensation.

Q: Are Traba workers verified? Yes. Every worker is vetted by our team and goes through a rigorous background check process before they can take shifts on the platform.

Getting Started

Q: How long does it take before I can start requesting workers? Account creation takes about 10 minutes in the business portal. Once complete, you can immediately start posting shifts and requesting workers.

Posting Shifts

Q: What information do I need before posting a shift? You'll need three things:

  • Shift Location – The address workers should report to, plus any helpful details like parking instructions or entrance location.

  • Role Description – A clear explanation of what workers will be doing. Include any special requirements or notes — this is the primary way workers learn about the job.

  • Required Attire – What workers should wear (e.g., all black clothing, closed-toed shoes).

Q: Is there a minimum shift length? Yes, the minimum shift length is 4 hours. If a shift starts and you no longer need the worker for the full duration, the worker is still guaranteed a minimum payment of 4 hours. This policy may be voided if the worker arrives 30 or more minutes late.

Q: I need to make a change to a shift I already posted. What do I do? Edit the shift directly in the business portal, or email [email protected] with the details.

Cancellations

Q: What happens if I need to cancel a shift? Cancel directly in the business portal or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation charges depend on how much notice you give:

  • More than 18 hours before the shift – No charge.

  • Within 18 hours of the shift start – You will be charged 4 hours of total pay, including both the worker payment and the Traba service fee.

Since Traba begins matching workers as soon as a shift is posted, we encourage canceling as early as possible.

Hiring & Full-Time Offers

Q: Can I hire a Traba worker full-time? Yes. If you'd like to bring on a worker you've collaborated with as a full-time employee, you can do so for a fee based on the number of hours they've worked at your business. Contact your local account manager to discuss the details.
