What is an adjustment?

An adjustment is a change to your clock-in or clock-out time — or your total hours worked — based on records from the worksite. Adjustments can be positive (adding pay you are owed) or negative (reducing pay if the business's records show you worked fewer hours than logged).

Why was my pay reduced? (Negative Adjustment)

A negative adjustment usually happens when:

  • The business's timesheet shows a different start or end time than what was recorded in the Traba app.

  • You left a shift early or took a break that wasn't reflected in the app.

  • The employer uses their own time-tracking system (such as a badge system or paper timesheets) that differs from the Traba app.

The business's records take precedence in these cases. If you believe the adjustment is incorrect, you should:

  1. Contact your onsite supervisor and ask them to verify your hours.

  2. Submit a Time Dispute ticket through the Traba app with the correct times and any supporting documentation (e.g., a photo of the sign-in sheet).

Are adjustments truly final?

Adjustments based on confirmed business records are generally final. However, if you have documentation showing the business records are wrong, Traba support can review your case. Submit a dispute as soon as possible — ideally within 48 hours of the adjustment appearing.
