If your shift is canceled within 18 hours of the shift start then you will be paid between $20-$50 as compensation for the shift (unless it is canceled due to extreme weather, then there is no compensation). Claims for shifts canceled months earlier will not be processed, so it is important to report cancellations promptly.

If you arrive at a shift on time/ early but are turned away, then you will also be compensated between $20-$50 as compensation, providing no other issues have occurred (such as incorrect attire, you have been blocked by another agency to work with that company, etc...), if you are late then you do not qualify for any compensation. Workers must also ensure they report turn-away incidents promptly to qualify for compensation.

If you were turned away or your shift was cancelled on arrival, here's what to do:

  1. Do not leave the worksite yet. Contact Traba support through the app immediately and let us know you were turned away.

  2. Open the Traba app → tap the chat icon → select your shift → select "I was turned away."

  3. Provide: the time you arrived, the company name, and the name of the supervisor who turned you away.

  4. Our team will verify and process your compensation.

If you get canceled off a shift because a business blocks you for performance or behavior-related issues, you may not receive any compensation. Workers may also be disqualified from compensation if they fail to meet attendance requirements, violate worksite policies (e.g., incorrect attire), or do not confirm their shift and respond to messages or calls within 2 hours of the shift start.
