⚠️ Can't clock in? Here's what to do:
If the kiosk is down or your supervisor hasn't provided a clock-in code, contact Traba support through the app immediately. Our team can manually clock you in — but you must reach out before or right at your shift start time.
If the QR code won't scan, try the steps below. If it still doesn't work, notify your supervisor and contact support.
Do not leave the worksite without contacting Traba first, as this could result in a no-show mark.
How do the QR codes work?
If you are a worker and see this screen on your shift, then your company is using a "QR code" to allow you to clock in and clock out of your shift (ask your supervisor if you also need to scan the QR code to start and end breaks)

Find the kiosk for your company. The kiosk screen will look like this with the “QR code” square in the center:

Next scan the QR Code with your smartphone and you will be redirected to the Traba App!
For iPhone users, follow instructions here from support.apple.com:
Point and hold your device so that the QR code appears in the viewfinder in the Camera app. Your device recognizes the QR code and shows a notification.
Tap the notification to open the QR code link.
You will be redirected to the Traba App to clock in or clock out.
You’re done!
For Android users,
You can either, (1) use your camera app or (2) download a QR code scanner app:
Steps to use your Camera app:
Open your Camera app
Point and hold your device so that the QR code appears in the viewfinder in the Camera app. Your device will recognize the QR code and show a notification.
Tap the notification to open the QR code link.
If your device redirects you to the Traba App, you can now clock in or clock out. You’re done!
If your device does not redirect you to the Traba App (but instead opens a browser, for example Chrome), you will need to use a QR code scanner app (follow Step 2 below!)
2. Steps to download a QR code scanner app:
Download a QR code scanner app. (here’s one you can download from Google Play)
Open and use that QR code scanner app to scan and open the QR code link
You will be redirected to the Traba App to clock in or clock out.
You’re done!
Using a Clock-In Code (PIN)
If your supervisor gives you a numeric code instead of a QR code, open the Traba app → tap your shift → enter the code provided. If the code isn't working, ask your supervisor to verify it, then contact support if the issue persists.
What if the kiosk is completely down?
If there is no working kiosk at your location, ask your supervisor to sign you in manually on their timesheet and note the time. Then contact Traba support through the app to document this — your clock-in time will be entered manually by our team.
