When you first create an account with Traba, your payment will be processed through our 'Standard Pay' system. This process typically takes 2-3 business days for funds to reach your bank account after payment has been initiated. Standard Pay is mandatory for your first 3 shifts. After this period, you may become eligible for Quick Pay, provided your bank supports this option.
If your bank does not offer Quick Pay, your earnings will continue to be disbursed via the Standard Pay process.
Payments are deposited 2–3 business days after your shift is processed by the system, excluding weekends and bank holidays. This aligns with standard processing times across financial institutions. If your hours are corrected or adjusted, the payment for those hours will follow the same 2-3 business day timeline after the adjustments are processed.
The "estimated arrival" date shown in the Traba app reflects the expected delivery window based on your payout method. Under Standard Pay, funds may sometimes appear on the same day, but you should generally plan for a standard processing window of 2–3 business days for the deposit to reach your bank.
To check the status of your payment:
Open the Traba app and navigate to the "Payments" section in your profile.
Look up the payment details for the specific shift. The app will display the estimated arrival date for your funds.
You can also check the payout status in your connected Stripe account for additional confirmation.
Please be aware that some businesses utilizing our platform operate on a weekly payment schedule, and you will be informed of this before working with them. Payments for corrected or adjusted hours are typically processed during the next scheduled payout cycle. For example, if your employer processes payroll weekly, the adjustment will appear in the upcoming cycle. This ensures that all adjustments are accounted for in the payroll system.
Why does my payment date fall on a weekend? Payments are processed only on business days, so if the app shows a weekend date, the payment will be processed on the next business day.
Can my payment be delayed or held? Payments cannot be delayed or held before a shift is completed. Once the shift is completed, the payment processing begins immediately.
How can I confirm my payment is on the way? Check the payout status in the Traba app or your connected Stripe account for confirmation.
Your eligibility for Quick Pay may be affected if you 'no-show' or cancel a shift within 18 hours of its start time, or if you consistently arrive late to your shifts. While these occurrences do not automatically result in the loss of quick pay, they could impact your eligibility at any time.
What is Quick Pay and Standard Pay?
Quick Pay allows workers to receive their pay the same day their shift's pay is processed. This method ensures that your pay reaches you immediately or the same day. On the other hand, Standard Pay takes 2-3 business days for the pay to reflect in your bank account after being processed. Standard Pay may, in some cases, reflect in your bank the same day; however, it is subject to the set timeframe of 2–3 business days and should always be considered the standard processing period.
What is Daily Pay and Weekly Pay?
Daily Pay is when your pay is processed daily or after each shift. If you have Quick Pay, you’ll receive your pay immediately after processing. However, with Standard Pay, the funds will take 2-3 business days to appear in your bank account. Weekly Pay processes payments on a weekly basis. If you have Quick Pay, you’ll receive your pay the same day of processing. If you have Standard Pay, it will take 2-3 business days for the payment to reflect in your bank account.
Why can't I see my payment even though it says "Deposited"?
When Traba marks a payment as "Deposited," it means the funds have left our system and are on their way to your bank. However, your bank may take an additional 1–3 business days to make the funds available in your account, even after receiving them. This is a bank processing delay, not a Traba issue.
Check with your bank or card provider directly.
If it has been more than 5 business days since the "Deposited" status appeared, contact Traba support.
When should I contact support about a missing payment?
Contact support if:
Your shift shows as complete but there is no payment activity after 3 business days (Standard Pay) or same day (QuickPay).
Your payment amount looks incorrect.
You updated your payment method recently and are unsure if it's linked correctly.
What if my payment is delayed?
If a payment delay occurs, review your account settings to confirm that your payout method is correctly linked. Alternatively, contact support for troubleshooting assistance. Delays may also arise from holidays or weekends that extend payment timelines since these days do not count toward business day processing.
You can also check the payout status in your connected Stripe account for additional confirmation.
⚠️ Changed your payment method recently? Payments in progress at the time of the change will still go to your old account. New payments will go to your updated account. This can cause a delay of 1–3 additional business days.
Note: If your hours are corrected, refresh the app or page to see the updated payment amount. This ensures the latest calculation is displayed. Payments may also be delayed due to incomplete timesheets, so ensure your timesheet is submitted and approved on time.
Is there an alternative to Stripe?
No. All 1099 payments are processed through Stripe, and no alternative payment methods are available. Traba cannot make modifications to your Stripe account; therefore, you will need to manage any necessary changes independently or reach out to Stripe's support team for assistance.
